PURPOSE OF JOB AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Acts as liaison between the corporate office and the field-based construction managers.

Estimator/Project Development:
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Responsible for soliciting RFP's to subcontractors and vendors for pricing needed to put together a hard-priced estimate.
  • Obtain three qualified prices for all scopes of work.
  • Develop a subcontractor base and develop additional subcontractors and vendors
  • Qualify pricing based on historical pricing/drawings and verify subcontractor experience.
  • Issue contracts and purchase orders for assigned scopes of work.
  • Perform due diligence walks on properties and provide Estimating team with information.
  • Put together initial project schedules as required during estimating phase.
  • Set up projects in Procore or MS Project software program to establish budgets/schedules, etc.
  • Assimilate and organize subcontractor quotes, schedules, drawings, budgets and pre-job paperwork.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Director of Project Development, Production Management Team and Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years estimating experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business, construction, or accounting/finance field
  • Administrative and Buy Out experience
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Occasional travel to job sites is required
